A wonderfully detailed vintage German Black Forest 8-day musical chalet cuckoo clock featuring a lively traditional woodland scene and multiple animated elements.
The large chalet is beautifully decorated with green shutters, flower-filled window boxes, balconies, traditional Alpine figures, and charming hand-painted details. At the base, a woodchopper stands beside his chopping block and stacked firewood, while a large waterwheel completes the rustic Black Forest scene.
Above the clock face, traditionally dressed dancers animate the balcony, adding even more character and movement to the scene.
Powered by a traditional 8-day mechanical movement, the clock requires winding approximately once a week. Three traditional pinecone weights power the clock, cuckoo, musical, and animated functions.
With its substantial size, woodchopper scene, waterwheel, music, animated dancers, and abundance of detail, this is an especially impressive vintage cuckoo clock and a fantastic statement piece.
Carefully inspected, tested, and prepared by Geppetto for its next home.
